There is a lot of information out there! We are ambitious and curious women and we want to do, see, learn and experience everything! But it can be hard to know where to start.

Join us for our ‘An Introduction to…’ series, where you will be introduced to a wonderful array of topics, practices, hobbies or trends by experts in their field, to give you a small taster into something new, so you can continue to expand your horizon and enrich your lifestyle with them.

WHAT IS DIGITAL MINIMALISM?

Can we become more mindful about what we’re absorbing and consuming? Not just as food and stuff we put on our skin, but also words, images, and information coming from outside of us. Can we turn the volume down, so we could delve deeper into the information already within? So we can contribute to the world with more authenticity.

Digital minimalism is a philosophy that helps you question what digital communication tools (and behaviors surrounding these tools) add the most value to your life.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER MERILYN KESKULA-DRUMMOND

The founder of Keskula Digital, Merilyn Keskula is a mentor, speaker and entrepreneur. Born in Estonia, she left her home country to study Fashion Management in London, which led her to work for several magazines — Vogue and ELLE amongst others – and fashion brands.

As an urban nomad she lived in London, San Francisco and Monaco before moving to Zürich, Switzerland for 6 years working in Global Strategic Innovation team at a renown German audio brand, Sennheiser. In addition to working with global clients - from LA to New York and London - she is also a mentor for start-up’s.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

This workshop is an invitation to reclaim your freedom from devices and to create new rituals around digital. Merilyn will share the why and how YOU can become more mindful and intentional with your relationship with digital.

Merilyn will share her own journey from digital anxiety to digital minimalism:

“I’ve been there and done it all. I’ve been a “digital addict” compulsively checking my two BlackBerry’s (remember those?) and replying to emails 3am at night - feeling in absolute anxiety if I let anyone wait for a response longer than 24h.

Was I respecting myself and my wellbeing? Definitely not. Did I give myself time and space to really tune in to my intuition and “receive” the answers what to do next? No. And I felt the consequences.

Hence, I made a conscious decision to shift from digital anxiety to digital wellbeing - and I believe this is the upgrade so many of us need at this time."
