About this event

About this event

We had five face to face training courses planned for 2020 which had to be postponed due to COVID-19. Local Healthwatch stopped face to face engagement, including Enter and View visits in line with government guidance. We have had feedback that some volunteers would still like to receive Enter and View training, in preparation for when visits will be possible and out of interest in the statutory activities of Healthwatch.

Two of our Enter and View trainers have prepared a shortened, introductory two hour course to meet this request

Who is this event for?

This course is for staff and volunteers who hope to be involved in planning, delivering and reporting Enter and View visits.

What will you learn?

You will be introduced to the legislation around Enter and View and the Healthwatch England guidance.  You will learn the ways that Enter and View can and can’t be used, and understand the skills required of an Authorised Enter and View Representative.  You will hear from experienced Authorised Enter and View Representatives the difference that Enter and View can make.

Who is running this event?

Leonardo Greco, Healthwacth Newham

Organised by

We are the independent national champion for people who use health and social care services.

We’re here to ensure that those running services, and the government, put people at the heart of care. We support local Healthwatch to find out what people want and to advocate for services that meet local communities’ needs. Healthwatch around the country act as our eyes and ears on the ground, letting us know how people’s care could be improved.

Our sole purpose is to help make care better for people. We have the power to make sure their voices are heard.
