An Introduction to Flash Lighting with Christina Mitrea
Join us for an in-depth introduction to flash lighting at TFC London. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to shape and control light using a variety of modifiers and reflectors, empowering you to achieve polished results straight out of the camera and streamline your post-production workflow. We’ll explore everything from simple one-light setups to dynamic three-light configurations, guiding you through the qualities of hard vs. soft and matte vs. specular light sources, and how these choices impact your subjects.
This course is ideal for beginners and those ready to expand their creative lighting skills in the studio or on location. You’ll leave with the confidence to recreate these setups, apply techniques, and elevate your flash photography with ease.

About Your Instructor Christina Mitrea
Christina is an experienced photographer and lighting specialist. Working for The Flash Centre and supporting customers for many years, Christina has a deep understanding of professional lighting, the technical specifications of each product but more importantly how to adapt these creatively to suit all styles of photography. Christina has provided most of the images for the Flash Centre’s advertising campaigns and has an exceptional understanding of light. She has also provided technical support for many of the industry’s leading ‘lighting experts’ and ‘ambassadors’ for many years. Her teaching style is making the complex understandable and applicable.
