Description

In this workshop, you'll get to know the basics of how to grow food and how to do it working with nature. This beginners workshop is designed for people that want to grow food and are not sure how.

You will learn about

    • The gardening year

    • Soil – the types and how to keep it healthy

    • Plants – the types of plants you can grow and the differences between them

    • Seeds - how to germinate seeds and how to propagate

    • Compost - how to make compost and how to feed your plants

    • Pests and weeds - how to control them naturally and when they can be your friend

    • And a few tips and tricks to help you succeed

We'll ask you for the main things you want to learn about ahead of the course to make sure we can shape the course in line with your needs.

You will get a chance to try your hand at a few practical activities including soil testing and planting your own seeds to take home.

Tea and coffee provided. Please bring your own lunch (or you can buy it in the lovely cafe on site!).
