Join Conception X, the UK’s leading cross-university deeptech venture programme, for an interactive workshop that will walk you through available strategies to protect and maximise the value of your research through IP.
This event is open to researchers, students and academic staff based in the East Midlands, North East, North West, Scotland and the South West.
If you’ve ever wondered what the pros and cons of protecting IP are and how to think about them strategically when exploring potential research commercialisation pathways, this workshop is for you.

What is Conception X?
Conception X is a programme and platform that helps PhD students become Venture Scientists and commercialise their research in impactful ways.
Via a 9-month programme that includes training, coaching and mentoring, we help them launch deeptech startups based on their research, connect with leading members of the deeptech community, and become eligible for innovation grants, awards and venture capital funding.
Over the past six years, more than 400 PhD students have completed the programme, raising £71M+ in venture capital investments and grants.
