About this event

Please note that this session is for individuals, small charities and community groups in the Royal Borough of Kingston, and neighbouring boroughs only.

Being confident in demonstrating the effects of your organisation’s work is now more important than ever. With funding becoming more and more competitive and commissioning being outcomes focused, your organisation needs to be able to show the value of what you are doing. This session is for anyone who wants to learn more about monitoring and evaluation, particularly if you are new to outcome and impact measurement or are responsible for managing and reporting to funders and trustees.

At the end of this session you will:

• understand 'Outcomes' and 'Outputs'

• be able to identify outcomes relevant to your work

• know how to use simple measurement tools to gather evidence

• be able to start developing outcomes framework for your organisation

*We suggest that if possible, 2 members of your organisation attend the course, someone with a leading role, like a director or a CEO and a Trustee or a person managing a project and writing reports to funders.

Who should attend:

This session is for Trustees and paid staff who need to be able to monitor and evaluate their work, and demonstrate the impact they are having and develop their services.

About the trainer

Alison Ewart is Funding and Organisational Development Officer at Kingston Voluntary Action. She has extensive experience of developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks in small voluntary organisations. She also co-wrote 'The Importance of Community-Owned Performance indicators' which developed, with tenants and housing staff, a practical framework to monitor and improve tenant satisfaction on council estates.

This event is free to voluntary organisations based in Kingston upon Thames, and £30 to those in neighbouring boroughs.

Unfortunately, the event is not open to people outside of the local area.

This is an online training session via Zoom. A Zoom link will be emailed to you nearer the time.
