This is the third of a series of CPD sessions for counsellors and other professionals held at East Riding College and lead by a qualified counsellor.

This event is an introduction to the core elements Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and how it may be implemented within your practice/work.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) was developed by Zindel Segal, Mark Williams and John Teasdale. It is based on Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme.

This one-day workshop is designed to teach an 8-week programme that includes a set of Guided Meditations to accompany the process. Participants can practice at home once a day, seven days a week and throughout life.

MBCT allows us to see more clearly what sorts of actions can lead to more wholesome outcomes in everyday life.
