Far from being a new fad, Mindfulness has been around for centuries…….says Peter Honey (of Honey & Mumford) in a previous article in People Management!
If you have an interest in understanding how Mindfulness can help you, your employees and your organisation, or you are just simply curious and want to understand what Mindfulness is, then this event is for you.
To help us with this much discussed topic, the CIPD welcomes Ciaran Saunders from The Centre for Mindfulness Research & Practice (CMRP) at Bangor University.
Ciaran holds a MA in Mindfulness Based Approaches from Bangor and is a member of the core CMRP teaching team delivering two modules of the part-time postgraduate programme in mindfulness. Meditation, mindfulness and related disciplines have been the core of Ciaran’s full-time work for most of his adult life. In addition, from 2000 to 2012, he chaired the Cambridge Buddhist Centre, where he continues to specialise in teaching secular mindfulness-based courses.
Ciaran will deliver an interactive workshop introducing us to the theory and practice of mindfulness, with reference to the rapidly growing body of scientific research evidencing it's benefits and potential in personal and organisational development. In addition to exploring the What, Why, and How of mindfulness, this workshop will provide ample opportunities to put any questions you may have to Ciaran.
If you would like to submit a question to Ciaran ahead of the workshop, please email: email@example.com
We look forward to seeing you at this event. Please bring along a friend or work colleague.
It is not necessary to be a CIPD member to attend one of our events, although non-member rates will apply.
