This two hour course aimed at bookwriters/lyricists but also useful for composers breaks down starting to write a musical.
About this Event
This course is designed as a ‘sequel’ to the Introduction to Writing for Musical Theatre workshop which takes place on 12 December (see below for details), but also works as a stand alone.
During the course, we will look at dramatic structure for musical theatre – both overall and on a scene by scene. We will also discuss integrating book and lyrics, approaches to writing musically and collaboratively, break down song structure and how to work with a composer!
Who’s it for: This course is ideal for playwrights looking to explore writing for musical theatre, as well as lyricists/composers who want to explore working in the genre.
