About this Event

This will give you access to your CPD platform. Here you can download a certificate for the course, a video on demand for courses taken online, usually available for up to a month, access to teaching material and lots of other exciting features.

About the course

This one-day course will introduce practitioners to paediatric mental health, the common conditions and what to look out for.  It will also identify the relevant pathways for onward referral of patients and the legal responsibilities including consent.

Three children in every class in the U.K. have a mental health problem. Identifying and getting the right help is imperative due to the lifelong implications of little or poor management. As osteopaths we have the privilege of spending longer with our patients allowing us to identify potential problems. Many of us do not feel equipped in this important area of patient care which will be addressed by this course.

Summary of Osteopathic Practice Standards (updated) covered in this course

A Communication and patient partnership -  A2, A4, A5, A7

B Knowledge, skills and performance - B1, B2, B3,B4
