Workshop overview

The initial success rate for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) applications is approximately 14%, leaving many individuals with long-term health conditions or disabilities feeling discouraged. It is estimated that 1 in 4 of them abandon their PIP application due to a lack of assistance or the distress caused by the application process.

Our PIP training course is tailored to support individuals and organisations involved in providing social welfare assistance. During this session, you will gain a deep understanding of the key factors influencing PIP assessments, equipping you with the knowledge and skills needed to guide your clients through the application process, increasing their chances of securing their full entitlement on the first attempt.

What will you learn?

  • Gain an understanding of ‘PIP’ (Personal Independence Payment).
  • Identify the criteria determining eligibility for PIP.
  • Acquire the skills to complete a PIP application, including comprehending the application form.
  • Learn how to interpret and navigate the 12 PIP descriptors effectively.
  • Develop the knowledge and strategies to challenge decisions related to PIP.

This course is CPD Accredited. Trainees will receive a CPD Certificate and 5 points following course completion.
