An Introduction to Psychopharmacology
Sat 3 December 2016, 09:30 – 12:30 GMT
Due to demand we are repeating this event for practitioners who wish to gain a greater awareness of commonly prescribed mental health drugs and groups (SSRIs, SNRIs, mood stabilisers etc) and how they may impact on the ways clients present themselves in therapy.
Feedback received from previous attendees at this workshop:
"I feel that this workshop gave me a really good understanding of the types of drugs commonly prescribed to my patients."
"I would regard this as essential introductory training to psychological therapists. I now have the confidence to talk about prescription drugs and know where to find more information if necessary."
" I'm amazed at how the presenter not only managed to impart so much useful information, but also made it interesting and relevant to my work."
The workshop is facilitated by Rachel Wesley, who after a career in HR with the financial and professional services sector, has spent 8 years as a mental health practitioner, primary care counsellor and counselling team leader with the NHS. In addition, to this she runs a busy private therapy practice working with a range of local and national organisations. Rachel is an experienced trainer and has been a popular and knowledgeable speaker at previous 1point workshops.
