An Introduction to Scotland's Bats

About this Event
Bats, creatures of the night, feared for centuries, forever associated with witches and evil – but are they in fact Scotland’s most misunderstood mammal? In this workshop with we will look at the ten resident Scottish species, learn about their ecology, life histories, biology and behaviour. We will also look at the threats faced by bats and the conservation efforts that are being made, including national and local level surveys and how you can get involved.
The workshop will be hosted on Zoom and we will send out joining instructions prior to the event.
Suitable for: beginners
Duration: 2 hours, including a break mid-way.
Cost: Choose either the free ticket type or the donation ticket type (minimum donation £1). Donations to TWIC will support our work in organising biological recording training workshops and events.
Booking essential as numbers will be limited.
