Event description

Description

To celebrate the yearly International self-care day, DCMS Ability network are hosting a day to help you decrease your stress levels and deal with burnout on the 26th July.

We are lucky to have Karen Larbi, who works at Rethink Mental Illness in the Time to Change team, which is a growing movement of people changing the way we all think and act about mental health problems. She will be hosting a self-care workshop from 3pm to 4.30pm in room GE/01. The workshop will help participants identify what burnout is and any unsustainable practices in their life, environment, and relationships that give rise to burnout. She will then invite participants to identify self-care strategies and make intentions to carry them forward in their lives. There are also breathing and grounding exercises throughout aimed at demonstrating quick and easy ways to decrease stress levels. The event will be interactive and participant focused.
