An Introduction to Social Media: Setting up Platforms & Creating Content
Aimed at Accredited or WTA museums, this beginner's session, led by Alec Ward from London Museum Development, will help you to set up and manage three different social media platforms.
Over the course of the morning, we will look at how to create a Twitter, Facebook and Instagram account – and the sort of content that works best for those platforms. In the afternoon, you will have an opportunity to create your own content for those social media platforms. Over the course of the day, we will also look at how other organisations are using social media creatively and engaging with audiences online.
Please note that this session is for beginners and we will be covering the basics of social media platform and content creation.
