An introduction to Social Stories

Welcome to An Introduction to Social Stories!

Social Stories can help to address specific situations or behaviours that a student may find difficult. They can help with changes to routine, distressing events or how to deal with a particular situation. This approach supports students to develop a greater social understanding and to stay safe.

This training will cover how social stories can be implemented and provide examples to empower staff to be able to go away and write their own for their students.
