Join Business West, the Bristol Chambers of Commerce & Bristol Initiative, to have your say on the proposals to create a new, united and expanded Business Improvement District.

Many of our members fall within the Business Improvement District (BID) with Business West representing the Chambers of Commerce and Initiative on the BID Boards. We have therefore arranged this session to give you the chance to share your thoughts and feedback with the BID team.
Please join us to hear about the plans to create a new, united Business Improvement District, combining the existing Bristol City Centre BID, Redcliffe & Temple BID, and Broadmead BID to operate under one vision as well expanding the area covered by the BID to add in new areas including Cabot Circus, Spike Island and Temple Quarter.

During this session, the team from the BIDs will discuss the proposed BID area, vision for Bristol BID, four core delivery themes, and how they plan to invest the levy in projects and initiatives.

There will be a Q&A to give you the chance to share your views and ask questions of the BID team who are keen to understand the projects which are important to you and your staff.

A light breakfast will also be provided alongside opportunities for you to network with peers from around the city.

(A Business Improvement District (BID) is a defined area in which business rate payers agree to pay a levy into a fund for a fixed period of time. This levy is used to develop projects which will benefit businesses and the community in the local area.)

By unifying the three BIDs and expanding the footprint, the proposed Bristol BID will increase investment from £11 million to circa £17 million over the next five years to strengthen the local economy and support local businesses and their employees. If approved by businesses via the ballot in June 2025, the new BID will officially launch in November 2025.
