By Sussex Wildlife Trust

Overview

Over Summer, Sussex comes alive with butterflies. This course will help you to identify and find the 46 species found in the county.

Tutor: Michael Blencowe

The course starts with an illustrated indoor session (approx. 90 minutes) which introduces you to the butterflies of Sussex. Learn how to identify them and find out more about their behaviour. Then we’ll head off around Woods Mill nature reserve looking for admirals, fritillaries, hairstreaks, emperors and other species in the meadows and woodlands.

No previous knowledge required.
