Overview

An introduction to the Carers Act legislation and what this means for carers, with a particular focus on the Adult Carer Support Plan

An interactive online session aimed at unpaid carers in Scotland. This workshop will provide an introduction to the Carers (Scotland) Act and what this means for carers, with a particular focus on the Adult Carer Support Plan. There will also be a brief introduction to other key areas of carers’ rights in Scotland, such as Self-directed Support and Carer’s Leave. Learn more about what your rights are as a carer and how to access these. This workshop is aimed at carers but will also be useful for volunteers and professionals working with carers in Scotland.

This training is free. Sessions are limited to 16 participants. If you are booking as part of an organisation, we would ask that you book a maximum of two spaces for members of staff. If you would like to arrange bespoke training for your organisation, please get in touch with us to discuss by emailing dementiatraining@agescotland.org.uk.

The session will take place via video conference and the joining instructions - along with the workshop aims - will be sent to you in advance of the session. Please contact rachel.davison@agescotland.org.uk if you have any questions.
