Welcome to a yoga treat. This is a yoga course for new practitioners run over four weeks, designed to raise body awareness and confidence.
About this event
This is a gentle introductory course. This course encourages self acknowledge and self acceptance.

This course run on Tuesdays. Over four consecutive weeks.

If you are new and curious about yoga, then this course is designed for you. With a black joy and celebratory focus.
Q4 - Who will benefit from this course?
Any race new to yoga. Also note: Many black people have experienced going to yoga venues and rarely seeing permanent black teachers or people that look like them.
This course creates a place of diasporan self discovery, welcome and belonging.
Q5 - What happens in the course
Over each day of the course, a different aspect of yoga will be explored, along with introducing the physical practice.
Q6 - Can I gift this?
Yes. This course will make a kind seasonal gift, focused on health and wellness.
Please note:
If you are new to yoga pregnant or recently pregnant, it will be best to join a pregnancy or post pregnancy course. If you are new to yoga, have any underlying mobility issues, it will be better to join a bespoke soft mobility course, and build up from this.
Q7 - What should I bring to take part?
These are useful:
- Thick long yoga mat,
- A yoga belt,
- Two yoga blocks.
If you do not have any of these items, you can use things around your home instead. A scarf (for the belt), a cushion (for knee support) and for comfort lay on a carpeted floor (as a mat substitute).
