An introduction to yoga for those affected by PMP and appendix cancers

About this event
Nicola will present a gentle sequence of postures aiming to work deeper into tissues, help tired muscles, increase mobility, switch on the parasympathetic nervous system to help you rest, digest and alleviate stress, anxiety and to leave you feeling calm.
Please have a yoga mat each or a non-slippy floor. You could also have some blocks or a chair to help with balance sequence ( you can use books or a water bottle instead of blocks. You may wish to use a blanket or a jumper for relaxation as the body body cools quite quickly.
Suitable for all those affected by pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP), appendix cancer and rare peritoneal malignancies.

The session will be hosted on Zoom. You will need to have an account and be logged in to Zoom to join online or you can call in. For those online, if you have any technical issues during the session, Angela will be on hand to offer support.
Please make sure that you are in a quiet environment, preferably on your own, and use a headset or headphones if possible. This is to protect the privacy of those taking part today. Make sure that the sound on your computer/tablet/phone isn’t turned off. If you’re using a headset or headphones, please make sure that the volume isn’t muted. we recommend that you test your microphone and audio before you jump into the meeting. Zoom will give you the opportunity to do this.
When you join, you will enter a waiting room. We will start to add people to the session from the waiting room at 7:45pm.
