Overview

Learn all the basics on your own machine

This class is suitable for any machine that has been purchased from Franklins. We will teach you all the basics that you will need to get started on your new machine, including:


  • Threading your machine
  • Winding a bobbin
  • Changing stitches
  • How to use the buttonhole foot
  • How to use the zipper foot

Together we will make a small zipper pouch to keep all your sewing kit in.

We will also talk about how to care for your machine, discussing sewing machine needles and how/why to change them, along with picking the right needle.

This class runs for 2.5 hours. Please bring your sewing machine and all the accessories, along with your manual.


PLEASE NOTE: Only sewing machines purchased from a Franklins Group are suitable for this class.
