About this event

This 4-hour module, the 2nd of 3, builds on the learning in the Youth Work Induction and supports the learner have a greater understanding of the role of a good youth worker and to start to put this learning into context within your own working role / environment.

Learners will have the opportunity to;

  • Learn from and make connections with other people on the course,
  • Discuss different methods of working with young people and when to try them
  • as well as looking at your own practice and how you can improve programming, delivery and evaluation.

It is reccommended that learner have completed the Youth Work Induction an online self-directed learning tool that will increase your knowledge of the history and theory of youth work and your knowledge of how youth work fits into the local, regional and National picture prior to registering.
