About this event

This 4-hour modules focuses on the following topics planning Youth Work sessions and projects, celebrating achievement, exploring safe working practice for youth work and monitoring, evaluation and review – which will include session and project reporting, evaluation and planning for the future.

The workshop is the 3rd of a series of basic learning modules that use the National Youth Work Induction checklist to start your Youth Work learning journey.

The workshop touches on;

Planning Youth Work sessions and Projects – including;

  • Participation
  • Planning
  • Celebrating Achievement

Safe working practice for youth work – including looking at;

  • Risk/Benefit Assessment
  • Health and Safety
  • Safeguarding
  • Boundaries

Monitoring / Evaluation /Review – which will include;

  • Session and project reporting
  • Evaluation
  • Planning for the future

It is reccommended that learner have completed the Youth Work Induction an online self-directed learning tool that will increase your knowledge of the history and theory of youth work and your knowledge of how youth work fits into the local, regional and National picture AND An Introduction to Youth Work: People and Place prior to registering.
