This seventh Open Dial event will be dedicated to the first limited edition collaboration watch between the Trade members of the Alliance - Fears and Christopher Ward. The collaboration watch has been created to raise money for the Alliance to support its efforts in promoting of British watch and clock making around the world.

Our members will have a unique and exclusive opportunity to learn all about the creation of the watch, see it in the making and ask Nicholas and Mike live questions during the event.

Fears is one of Britain’s oldest family-run watch companies, first established in 1846 by Edwin Fear in Bristol. The business ran for 130 years until it closed in 1976. In 2016, the year the business would have celebrated its 170th anniversary, it was re-established by Edwin Fear’s great-great-great-grandson, Nicholas Bowman-Scargill. Fears today is located in its historical home city of Bristol, where the watches are designed, before being hand built in Britain.

Christopher Ward has become synonymous with innovation in an often-conservative sector since becoming the world’s first direct-to-consumer luxury watch brand in 2004. The company turned the traditional wholesale model on its head by offering hitherto unseen value in mechanical watches. Proudly Anglo-Swiss in structure, all Christopher Ward’s watches are designed at its UK base at Maidenhead and engineered and assembled at its atelier in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland.
