About this event

This is an in-person talk, being held here at the Grapevine Centre. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a type of talking therapy where a therapist helps you to change how you think and act. Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a is based on CBT but it's adapted for people who feel emotions intensely and struggle to regulate their emotions.

Catherine will give us an overview of what these therapies are, how they work, who can benefit from them, and how people can access them.

Catherine worked in Derbyshire NHS Trust for many years in both primary and secondary care, as a CBT and DBT therapist. She was a founder member of the Derbyshire DBT Service.
