A joint training by members of Powys Specialist Teacher Team (this training is a repeat of Joint Cluster training for teachers in 2024/25)

Course Aims

Part 1 - To give an overview of language difficulties, how they may present and how they impact learners in the classroom.

To signpost ways of gathering further information.

To suggest appropriate support strategies. 1 hr 20 mins approx.

Part 2 - To outline the Powys approach to dyslexia and the pathway to formal identification.

To signpost screening and assessment tools.

To suggest support strategies at various stages of the graduated response. 1 hr 10 mins approx.
