Event description

Description

FREE training for new and experienced Harbour volunteers.

Asylum seeker... refugee... what's the difference?

S4? S95? What the heck is that?

This training provides a grounding in how the asylum process works in the UK, demystifies some of the jargon, and gives an overview of Harbour drop-in processes.

By the end, you should feel more confident in being able to give advice and support to asylum seekers, including where to signpost if Harbour is not the appropriate agency to help.

Please bring lunch to share.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

As you know, parking is always tricky at Harbour, but you can use Broadgreen Community Centre on Gladstone Street, SN1 2AN (free) or County Ground car park, SN1 2EB (£2).

FAQs

What can I bring into the event?

Other than your good self, please bring food to share for lunch. If you could give some indication to staff of whether you plan to bring savoury or sweet, that would be fab.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Not at all. Your energy, openness and enthusiasm is more important!
