What is ERP? Is ERP software becoming outdated? What size of company or industry requires ‘Enterprise Resource Planning’? How do I select the right ERP for my business needs? This workshop is designed to provide an introduction to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and its potential application in the SME Manufacturing workplace.

The workshop will cover topics such as the different types of ERP, the difference between ERP, MRP, MES, CRM and other jargon, the benefits of using ERP, typical modules covered by ERP, and the basics of selecting and implementing a modern ERP system, providing participants key take-aways that can be applied in the workplace. In addition, participants will learn about the potential security and change management risks associated with ERP and the best practices for mitigating these risks.

The workshop will focus on practical applications and provide hands-on facilitation of an ERP Gap Analysis that can be used as part of your solution selection. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and share ideas throughout the workshop.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have a better understanding of ERP, its potential applications, and how to set up and manage an efficient ERP system to support the overall business strategy.

Working in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council, this Workshop Programme is part of the Invest Hull - Supporting Business Growth Programme, which is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and significantly enhances, and provides additional resource to, business support activities delivered by Hull City Council to businesses located in Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire.
