Ana Silvera in Concert
Event Information
About this Event
This Christmas fundraising concert will feature works from Ana's debut album The Aviary (2012), which The Guardian described as 'a stunning album' of 'magical storytelling', and more recent works from her 2018 album Oracles, which featured in The Guardian's 'Best of 2018 Critics Pick' list and was described by Alex Preson on BBC Radio 4 as: 'Some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard... intelligent, lyrically complex and interesting... just absolutely wonderful'.
Ana has performed all over the world and worked on social justice projects, including a collaboration with the London-based organisation Freedom from Torture, with whom she created new music with people affected by experiences of torture, and a composition project with the Ice & Fire Theatre Company, telling the story of the Yemeni diaspora.
Ana will be performing two, 45-minute sets at Cumberland Lodge. Door open at 7pm and the concert will start at 7.30pm.
