About this event

Health • Medical

Hysteroscopy is a common diagnostic procedure. It can be painful, but most procedures are performed in an outpatient setting with no pain relief. Anaesthetist led sedation or anaesthesia is an option for some women. However, there are resource limitations and in some patients there are safety concerns about the risks of an anaesthetic. This work shop will explore the risks of anaesthetic for a procedure and reassure women that there are safe options for the vast majority of patients that require an anaesthetic. It will be an interactive discussion with the opportunity to ask questions from an experienced anaesthetist.
