About this Event

And So I Watch You from Afar

And So I Watch You from Afar

To celebrate ten years of music And So I Watch You From Afar start the year with a very special performance of their debut album in Derry.

This award winning album was a hugely significant moment in the lives of this gang of punk-come-art-rockers and was the beginning of a journey that has seen the north coast foursome play tours across the world year on year from the USA to Russia, Asia to Australia, Europe to UK and everywhere in between.

Long famed for their genre twisting albums and incendiary live performances the band decided to celebrate this special 10-year anniversary the only way they know how, this will be the only and last opportunity to see this album played in full in Derry.

Plus Special Guests

Sugarwolf

Derry/Belfast based quartet Sugarwolf are no strangers to the DIY graft of the Irish and UK rock scenes - Led by front woman Emma Gallagher the band previously secured a reputation as one of Ireland’s most exciting rock outfits and plan to continue to do so. Sharing the stage on tours with the likes of Fightstar, Black Peaks, Queen Zee, Employed To Serve and Skindred helped earn the band the reputation as one of the best live acts in Ireland and have since gained the support and endorsement deals with Jägermeister, Orange Amps and Ruach Music.

Sugarwolf had an excited first year as a band with a number of tours across the UK and Ireland including festival appearances at Camden Rocks and headlining a stage at Stendhal Festival, securing them as one of the BBC’s ‘Future Headliners’. In November 2019 the band released their new single ‘Scared Of The Dark’ to a multitude of positive press and spins from BBC Radio 1 in support.

Citing influence from the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, Wolf Alice and Lady Gaga their diverse and uniquely organic brand of rock looks fixed to set them apart from the park of rising hopefuls in 2020.

Kessler Effect

A modern progressive rock band from Letterkenny, Co Donegal, Ireland. with a throwback vibe to the great 70's progressive band. Out of a similar vein to that of Dream Theater & King Crimson, Kessler Effect attempt to bring about a large modern progressive rock sound built around driving bass lines, dual guitar solos, and big vocal harmonies.

Progressive Rock. Influences range right across the board from classical, to country, to psychedelia to 70's progressive rock. All blends together to resemble something similar to 90's progressive, similar to the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley and others.
