Anyone working with teenage girls – schools, youth organisations, community groups.

What kind of projects or initiatives are eligible for funding?

Accepted Answer

Cycling groups for teenage girls or anything that promotes and delivers cycling sessions for teenage girls.

Question 3

What kind of equipment can the funding be used for?

Accepted Answer

Bikes, lockers, helmets, skills kit, other equipment as long as it is with the intention of being used to encourage and promote teenage girls cycling.

Question 4

What is the maximum amount of funding that a group can receive?

Accepted Answer

The cap is £2000, if there is something that would exceed this, email andshecycles@sustrans.org.uk and we might be able to signpost to other funding available or put requests on a waiting list.

Question 5

Can individuals apply for funding or does it have to be a group?

Accepted Answer

It must be for working with groups of teenage girls, so if you are the group leader you can apply but it is for enabling groups of girls to get on bikes.

Question 6

What happens if our group is not successful in the first round of funding? Can we apply again?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, we can give feedback to unsuccessful applicants. We will open a second round of funding later in the year. We only have finite funding available each time so we can only prioritise applications that demonstrate an appropriate use of funding in line with our remit.
