Andy Owen’s career in the British Army saw him serve as a Captain in the Intelligence Corps. He completed tours in Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan. Now living in London, his second novel East of Coker explores the personal aftermath of conflict. Using TS Eliot’s The Waste Land as a structural and thematic starting point, the novel asks challenging questions about our responsibilities to those that have seen and experienced war. Andy’s talk will examine his writing and his collaborations with the War Writers Campaign group and their work with veterans and PTSD professionals.
