Social Enterprise. Local Projects. Seed Funding.
Anfield SOUP is a new project from Liverpool SOUP. SOUP is a regular micro-grant event, supporting brand new social enterprise projects in Liverpool. The idea is that potential new entrepreneurs come along and pitch their idea to the attendees and you can walk away with enough money to start you off in business.
For a small entrance fee (recommended donation - between £5 and £10) to our monthly evening event, a ticket entitles you to entry and a bite to eat. You also get one vote, to be used to vote for the best new enterprise project you hear pitched to you that night. The winner of the most votes gets to go home with the profits from the ticket receipts. So you get a starter to eat, and the winner gets a starter to invest.
Anfield SOUP is:
a collaborative event for socially conscious people and those with great ideas
a connection-building platform for people from across the city
a democratic experiment in crowdfunding
a hub for the best new enterprise ideas coming out of the city
a forum for critical but accessible discussion
a chance to support ethical projects in Anfield
All profits from the tickets will go towards funding the projects pitching to the crowd on the day, so we will not be offering refunds.
