A TWO-day workshop with Sue Parker Hall

London – Friday/Saturday, 19th & 20th MAY 2017

Workshop Overview:

A 2-day training which defines and differentiates between anger and rage, explores the positive aspects of anger, identifies a wide range of ways in which anger gets distorted, presents neuroscience, academic and positive outcomes in psychotherapy research which support a relational approach and methodologies for working with anger and rage. There will be an opportunity to view a demonstration of the approach, skills practice, a supervision slot to discuss a few cases and a Q&A session.

This training has been consistently highly rated by fellow professionals, scoring highly for content, process and practical application of theory and models to practice.

Learning Outcomes and Objectives:

You will

 ¨      Deepen your understanding about the differences between anger and rage and how to work with them;

 ¨      Take away really useful models to guide your practice and to share with your clients;

 ¨      Deepen your understanding about how a therapeutic relationship alone provides your client with everything they need to address their anger and rage issues;

 ¨      Learn about models and methodologies that are both professionally and personally useful;

 ¨      Understand how the elements of a therapeutic relationship support clients with their anger and rage issues;

 ¨      Be armed with up to date neuroscience, positive outcomes in therapy and academic research findings

 ¨      Experience an empathic, relational approach first hand as the process of the training mirrors the approach being advocated.

About the Speaker:

Sue is passionately committed to practicing, researching and teaching philosophy and methods that recognise a real human relationship as the crucible and the vehicle for positive change. She is in her 20th year of practice working with a wide range of issues and diverse client groups and is author of ‘Anger, Rage and Relationship: An Empathic Approach to Anger Management’ (2008, Routledge); she trains other counsellors and psychotherapists, nationally and internationally to work with these phenomena in an empathic, relational way.
