Why:

A lot of work goes into creating an awesome campaign. You'll start with the data, the insights, the previous learnings; that may get you somewhere. Also super important is the delivery - the how you do it. But the bit that we are interested in is the bit in the middle. The idea.

At angles we are obsessed with great ideas. Ideas hold all the power. We’ll be hosting some of the most creative minds in our capital city for a quarterly evening of inspiration, debate and sharing.

So where do best campaign ideas come from? Was it an actual brainstorming session, a person’s brainwave in the shower or over a beer in the pub?

And then how did you take that kernel of an idea and grow it into an actual campaign? Angles is an informal evening of discussion with some industry leaders from both the client and agency side of the fence. They’ll each share how they came up with an awesome idea and grew it into a full campaign.

Speakers:

Andre Le Masurier, Google

Andre is currently Executive Creative Director leading the Google Brand Studio team which covers EMEA. Previously he was CD at 72andSunny working on Google leading Chrome, Chromebook, Chromecast, Made with Code and the Star Wars partnership projects. Before 72andSunny Andre was Group Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi LA working on Toyota and previous to that AKQA San Francisco where he lead the Nike Women and Sportswear accounts.

Alex Mathieson, ITV2

Alex is Creative Director of ITV2 - he describes himself as a Director, Editor and Writer. He has had a career spanning 18 years in TV working across Channel 4, E4, MTV and now ITV2. He started off in production and then moved into Promos in 2004.

Matthew Mifud

Matt is Creative Director at Quiet Storm, and independent creative agency based in Soho. He has been involved with high profile brand overhauls for the likes of easyJet, The National Theatre and ebookers. He has also worked on Pukka, NBC Universal and Carabao. Outside of work Matt runs a small catering business, is an artist and mentors within universities.
