Anglesey Coastal Foraging Day
Fri 28 April 2017, 10:00 – 20:00 BST
Spaces are limited and this will be a full day of foraging with a small intimate group. We will explore a range of habitats from estuary salt marsh, to shingle beach, to rocky shoreline; seeking a broad selection of edible coastal greens, seaweeds, and molluscs. Depending on the conditions on the day it may be possible to collect razor clams from the low tide mark. Conditions allowing, part of the day will be given over to shore fishing where the basic techniques will be explained to those with little or no experience.
This event will fill the best part of the day and is aimed at those with a passion for foraging. Although no aspects of the day will be especially strenuous, it will be a long and active day. Please bring along plenty of water and food to sustain energy levels.
