Join us for the fourth session in our Animal-Free Science Workshop Series for Early Career Researchers, featuring Rob Wright, MLS, a basic science informationist at Johns Hopkins University’s Welch Medical Library. Rob brings extensive experience in evidence synthesis and literature searching related to new approach methodologies (NAMs), including work with the Evidence-Based Toxicology Collaboration and the Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing.

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn a structured, NAMs-focused approach to searching the scientific literature. Using PubMed, Rob will demonstrate how to build a targeted search concept, with a focus on organoids and microphysiological systems (MPS). Participants will be guided through best practices in search strategy development and gain practical skills that can be transferred to other NAMs topics and databases.

Whether you're new to NAMs or looking to refine your literature search techniques, this session will equip you with essential tools to find high-quality, animal-free research more effectively.

Who should attend: Researchers, students, librarians, and anyone interested in NAMs and a NAMs-focused approach to searching the scientific literature.
