Medway families!
We are offering free activities for the kids this May half-term, helping them to develop new skills in creative technology and storytelling.
Animation Bootcamp is a 1-day workshop designed to get children and young people aged 11-16 connected with local heritage in a hands-on way.
They'll be exploring animation techniques using stop frame with Lego, motion capture technology and voiceover. No experience or equipment is required.
This camp is on 31 May 2024 and will run from 9.30am-4pm.
This event is produced by Electric Medway and is part of our Young Hack learning programme. Animation Bootcamp is delivered in partnership with TECH31 and Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries (iCCi) at University of Kent.
The event is hosted on The Historic Dockyard Chatham in The Clocktower Building (University of Kent).
EXTRA INFO
At the beginning of the day (9.30am) we will meet parents at the Visitor Entrance of The Dockyard.
We ask that children bring their own lunch.
Spaces are limited and early booking is recommended.
After booking we will email you a link to fill out a short registration form prior to your child/children attending.

Young Hack helps young people in Medway develop entry-level skills in creative technology, making it a fairer place to get into the creative industries regardless of background.
