ANM Beyond 150: Securing a prosperous future for Scottish agriculture for another 150 years
About this event
In partnership with Farm North East, ANM Group are delighted to host a conference which will examine the vital themes of agriculture and climate change, drawing on insights from well-known industry voices to examine what steps we can take now to secure a prosperous future for the Scottish livestock sector for another 150 years.
Join us at this event to contribute your views to this important discussion. A major output of the event will be a discussion paper which ANM Group will present to decision-makers, offering up solutions and ideas.
A buffet lunch will be served before the conference, and all proceeds from the event will be donated to our nominated charities for our 150th anniversary celebrations.
Panellists include:
Jim Walker, former president, NFU Scotland, and chairman of the farmer led group which advised the Scottish Government on future beef policy
Steven Thomson, senior agriculture economist, SAC Consulting
Two more speakers to be confirmed

About our nominated charities
Throughout the 150th anniversary year, ANM Group is fundraising for three charities which have a great impact in the region, including Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation, Charlie House and Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH).
Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation
Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation is a Scottish charity based in Elgin that give children gifts and grants, or “sparkles” with the aim to put a smile of the face of a child undergoing challenges due to Cancer. The charity aims to brighten up a child’s day and create treasured memories with their families.
Charlie House
Charlie House is an Aberdeen-based charity that provides support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families in North East Scotland. The Charity provides vital services to families including organising activities and projects which allows them to meet others in a similar situation and offer emotional and practical support when they need it most.
Scottish Association Mental Health (SAMH)
SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity that work in over 60 communities with adults and young people providing mental health and social care support services. Locally in Aberdeenshire, the My Life Dynamic program provides a range of services that support people with mental health problems and those with Autism to strengthen their self-resilience.
