Anna Chaplain Gathering and Candlemas Service

Anna Chaplain Gathering and Candlemas Service

By Diocese of Portsmouth Communications Team

Overview

Anna Chaplains in the Diocese of Portsmouth gather for an opportunity for fellowship and inspiration.

We will gather as a network of Anna Chaplains in the Diocese of Portsmouth in Becket Hall for an opportunity for fellowship and inspiration in the Anna Chaplaincy Ministry. The theme of our day will be ‘Living Stones’, based on 1 Peter 2:5 and how our lives, our stories in God, are being built into a spiritual house.

Light lunch will be served, giving a chance for networking and fellowship.

The Diocesan Anna Chaplain Coordinator, Emma Sneddon, will be hosting the event with guest speakers from the charity Truth Be Told. You can find more about Truth be Told here. You will hear from the charity about how they started and stories of how their ministry has brought generations together through storytelling. There will also be a chance for a mini-workshop to get an insight into using storytelling in your ministry.

In the early evening, we will move over to the Cathedral for a special Candlemas service with Bishop Jonathan, where he will recommission Anna Chaplains in our Diocese.

Come ready to inspire and be inspired.
