About the book

In Annah, Infinite, Khairani Barokka reclaims Gauguin’s infamous portrait, asking us to recognize not a muse, but a child in pain — and in doing so, reclaims space for voices erased by colonialism, racism, sexism, and ableism. Through poetry, fiction, and art, this is a story of both pain and escape.
