Join us for this mountain adventure in the central Mournes !

Get ready for a day of exploration!! This in-person event is perfect for nature enthusiasts and hiking lovers alike. A mountain adventure not to be missed.

On Sun 19 Oct 2025, we will gather at Carrick Little top car park, the starting point of our Annalong Circuit guided hike.

This epic hike loop hike of the Annalong Valley will take you into the Central Mournes and give you a different view over the Mourne Mountains. Hiking inside the Mourne Wall, you will have fantastic views over the ranges higher peaks

This hike will take us over the summits of Slievelamagan, Cove Mountain and Slieve Beg .

We will pass by the top of the Devils Coach Road, and return via the Brandy Pad and magnificent Hares Castle. On a clear day the views are incredible and varied on each summit. The hike is strenuous and you will need a good level of fitness and a bit of determination!

Can I go on my own?

Of course, there are lots of people that join our events on their own, it won’t be long until you are making new mountain mates!


What you will need to wear:

Suitable footwear- this includes walking boots or waterproof hiking/mountain running trail shoes

Walking trousers or leggings (no jeans/cotton)

Insulating layers such as fleece or wool and a jacket


What you will need to bring with you:

Small backpack

Waterproof jacket and trousers

Hat and gloves

Spare insulating layers

Water and snacks

Head torch and spare batteries


🐾 DOG FRIENDLY : this is a dog friendly hike . We have a strict on-lead policy. Please ensure you and your dog have experience of hiking on this type of terrain on-lead and that your dog is fit for the hike and able to deal with mountainous terrain 🐾


Are you ready for an adventure? You will get a guided hike with qualified and experienced mountain leaders who are outdoor first aid trained and will be carrying first aid and emergency equipment for your safety.

IF WE CANCEL OR POSTPONE an event for any reason, you will have the option of:

1. Completing your activity on a rescheduled date

2. Receive a full refund.


IF YOU CANCEL:

If you notify us with over 14 days notice of the event start date credit will be given that you can use against other events. Within 14 days notice of an event there is no credit given and we do not offer exchanges/transfer of your ticket onto another event.


RESCHEDULED EVENT

If I event is rescheduled and you agree to the new date, this cancellation policy will apply.


Please note: Due to the nature of the events we provide and the environments these take place in, hikes will not be cancelled simply because of bad weather. However they will be cancelled by us if bad weather deems the event dangerous. In this instance we will get in touch to notify you. Hikes are subject to minimum group numbers being reached. In the event that this does not happen, you will be notified and offered a full refund, or the opportunity to be transferred onto a different event.
