Annie Sloan Chalk Paint techniques with Sue
This hands-on workshop introduces Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint and covers the basic techniques for using this decorative medium. The workshop covers: preparation, surfaces, painting with chalk paint to achieve a smooth finish, patina and an aged surface, waxing and finishing, colour mixing and lots of inspiration. You will receive a notebook, so you are able to take notes and write down inspiration for your own projects. Through a mixture of demonstration and pratical painting tasks you will learn how to work with this product to achieve different looks.
The workshop is for beginners and painters who want an insight into Annie Sloan's techniques. This is an official Annie Sloan Workshop run by Nineteen, a stockist of her amazing chalk paint. We have been trained by Annie in her Oxford head office and paint all our furniture showcased in Nineteen. The workshop offers the opportunity to pick up tips and ask an experienced painter your questions.
All materials are included for the workshop, you just need to turn up! An apron is provided to protect your clothes.
At the end of this workshop you will be taking home your paint chart, notebook, board painted with the techiques you have learnt and a voucher to recieve 10% off Annie Sloan products.
Workshops are hosted by Nineteen in our light and airy studio at the rear of the shop. We prefer a small group, offering lots of time with the tutor and plenty of support in learning something new. We provide teas, coffee, cordial and homemade cakes served on vintage bone china by way of refreshment and happily cater to any dietary requirements.
There is free on street parking on surrounding roads, as well as on Alexandra Road itself although the bays outside of the shops carry a 2 hour restriction. We are happy to work to dietary requirements such as gluten free, please email to us before the workshop to ensure individual needs are catered to. Entrance is via the shop, where there is one small step up into the shop. Please be aware that the toilets are downstairs on the lower floor.
If you are travelling to Clevedon from further afield follow signs to the seafront (also Clevedon pier) Alexandra Road is opposite the pier entrance and Nineteen is 200 metres up the road.
The address of the shop is 19, alexandra road, Clevedon BS21 7QH
