The CIPD Manchester Branch Annual Employment Law Masterclass attracts HR professionals, business owners, managers, line managers and students in business, law and HRM each year, and remains one of the most comprehensive and affordable Employment Law events on the North-West business calendar.

We'll welcome you with a hearty breakfast to enjoy while networking with fellow delegates, expert speakers and representatives from the CIPD Manchester Branch committee. a two-course seated lunch will be served in our suite. Eversheds Sutherland

We are delighted to welcome the law firm Eversheds Sutherland for a second year. Naeema Choudry is a partner in the Human Resources Practice Group and will lead our masterclass with her team. Naeema advises on all aspects of employment law and is a highly experienced Employment Tribunal litigator. She advises on executive terminations, whistleblowing, large-scale redundancies, TUPE, contractual disputes and discrimination issues. Naeema regularly works in a cross border environment and contributes to a variety of publications and broadcast media.


Naeema also features in the Legal 500, Legal Experts and Chambers directories in which she is noted for her "articulate and professional manner" and "high level of competency in various areas, from tribunals to pension issues, to discrimination" and as someone "you would want in your corner".


Acas North West

This year we welcome for the third year running James Boffey who always delivers a lively and very interactive session. James joined Acas in 2015 after having worked in prison education, teaching English to male offenders. James initially began working in Dispute Resolution, as the first point of contact for employees with potential Tribunal claims before moving into Training and Advisory work in early 2017.


James has worked with a range of public and private sector organisations across the North West. He provides advice, training and support to both staff and management to improve employment relations and business performance.


The Venue

Emirates Old Trafford is home to Lancashire County Cricket Club and is one of the most prestigious conference venues in Manchester. Our conference suite offers panoramic views over the famous pitch and, weather permitting, delegates will be able to take a breath of fresh air between sessions on the terraces (accessible via the conference suite).

Waiting List

As this event is hugely popular, we have set up a waiting list. If you join our waiting list, you will receive an email notification as soon as a place becomes available and you will have 24 hours to register before the place becomes available to the next person on the waiting list.


Cancellation Policy

If you find you are unable to attend the event, please give at least 30 working days notice so we can release your ticket to someone on our waiting list. You can cancel your ticket via the Eventbrite desktop site or send us an email, and we will cancel your ticket.


Group Bookings

We offer a free place for group bookings of five or more delegates.

Please submit your job title and company when completing your registration.


Free Parking

If you are driving to the venue, we provide free parking on-site at LCCC Car Park A, Great Stone Road, Trafford M32 0ZN. You will be given tickets to exit the car park at the lunch break.
