Annual Employment Law Update 2017

Join us for our popular Annual Employment Law Update, led by the team from Dentons UKMEA LLP.
Your chance to catch up on the latest employment law changes and what's on the horizon for the year ahead.
The session will cover the most important case law decisions of 2016. This will include looking at holiday pay developments, rest break entitlements, discrimination in PHI schemes, reasonable adjustments for disabled employees, sexual orientation and maternity discrimination, equal pay, injury to feelings compensation, workplace dress codes, the right to monitor employees' use of the internet, data protection, protecting confidential information, worker status and the gig economy, collective redundancy consultation, protection for job applicants, fair dismissal concepts, protected conversations, ET fees and TUPE developments.
The presenters will also look at legislative and policy changes in 2016 and what's expected for 2017, including looking at Brexit, gender pay gap reporting, zero hours contracts, salary sacrifice arrangements, whistleblowing, board diversity, trade unions, the apprenticeship levy, taxation of termination payments and employment tribunal procedure.
Some time will also be spent focusing on the issues around employing migrant workers, to include immigration routes for non EEA workers, right to work checks and sponsor duties and responsibilities. The session will also look at the rights of EEA workers in the UK and the future landscape.
The sesion will be hosted by Verity Buckingham, Michelle Lamb and Emma Naughton from Dentons and will be interactive with an opportunity to ask questions.
