Rickard Luckin, Birkett Long and Whirledge & Nott join forces in February 2019 to deliver the 7th Annual Farming Families Update.

Now in its 7th year, this event has been designed to help farming families overcome the evolving challenges associated with succession planning, diversification and managing change.

Get updated insight from our expert speakers on topics such as diversification, land development, and preparing for an adverse change in circumstance, and leave this event with actionable guidance for your business.

Short presentations by six speakers from Rickard Luckin, Birkett Long and Whirledge & Nott will be followed by an opportunity to informally discuss any questions or topics you may have with our keynote speakers. The event will end with wine and canapés.

Caroline leads Rickard Luckin's agricultural team, with over 20 years' experience working farming businesses. Caroline regularly meets with farming families to discuss their accounts, to understand their aspirations and challenges, and to offer practical advice on topics including retirement, succession and diversification.

Matt Gill, Development Director, Whirledge & Nott
Matt specialises in acquiring sites with planning permission and large scale strategic land assemblies across multiple ownerships. Matt's housebuilding and development expertise is invaluable when advising on potential land disposals.


Diversification or development: Opportunities to be cultivated
David Rayner, Partner, Birkett Long
David has specialist expertise in commercial property and environmental matters. He is recognised for his experience in these areas and is a Legal 500 recommended lawyer. Kate is widely recognised for her expertise in advising on rural diversification, RPA subsidy schemes and environmental management.

Caroline Dowding, Partner, Birkett Long
Caroline leads the Agriculture & Estates team, ensuring that the firm offers a wide range of advice to suit all clients' needs; from simple will provisions to complex tax planning and succession advice, option agreements, tenant and partnership agreements, land transactional work and advice, development and diversification.
