Brexit and Populism under the Microscope: What We Know So Far
by Professor Matthew J Goodwin

This lecture examines what is behind two of the most striking developments in recent years: Brexit and the rise of national populism. What drives the public to support populism? How are political loyalties shifting? What are the broader winds sweeping through our party systems? Matthew draws on the latest research to explore these questions and considers how far the social sciences contribute to our understanding.
