Event Details

Theme: Tribunals – deliberations behind closed doors

With the removal of Tribunal fees, chances are we will see an increase in claims in the coming months. To help you anticipate the tricky issues that could trip you up, we will take you behind the closed doors during deliberations at a Tribunal.

With one Tribunal Judge, together with lawyers experienced in advocacy leading this session, we will help you to understand things from the viewpoint of the Tribunal and where, as an employer, you are most vulnerable to a claim being upheld. This will provide some practical insights into how to avoid claims in the first place.

This employment law update, in association with legal practice Freeths, will also bring you up to date on some of the hot topics on the horizon, including GDPR requirements from an HR perspective, securing the right staff for your business in light of immigration law, as well as top learning points that can be taken from recent cases.

The afternoon will include a combination of facilitated breakout discussions, interviews, classroom and interactive learning.
